Kenny Kemper is a leader who listens to us, speaks with conviction, and acts with courage. He's running for State Senate because our freedoms can’t afford to follow the status quo and Oklahoma's future can't afford to sit in the "bottom 10" of nearly every statistical category.
Kenny was adopted at the age of three and raised in the small town of Buhl, Idaho. Growing up in a close-knit community of just 3,000 people, He learned early that hard work and perseverance could open any door. Kenny spent his youth on the basketball court, baseball field, behind a drum set, and singing in choir.
After high school, Kenny moved to Sacramento, CA, where he earned his Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from High Tech Institute. With his degree in hand, Kenny set out to return to Idaho and begin a career with Dell.
Kemper's story took a turn when Dell closed its Idaho operations in 2010. In that moment, he decided to relocate to Oklahoma to continue with the company, a move he describes as the best decision of his life. Soon after, he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from University of Phoenix. He currently works as a server administrator and manages a data storage grid.
In 2019, Kenny married his wife, Rachel. Together, they are raising a blended family of three daughters: a 14-year-old freshman and 12-year-old seventh-grader in Edmond Public Schools; and their youngest, who will turn two in December. A proud “girl dad,” Kenny’s favorite moments are those spent golfing, playing catch, and soaking up the joy of family life.
Our kids need a leader who will stand up for our public schools. Mental health patients need a leader who will advocate for the access and funding necessary to make a difference. Working families need a Senator willing to push back against policies that increase inflation. And women need a future where their health decisions are in their own hands, not in the hands of government.
Kenny is not afraid to speak truth to power and do what's right. Oklahomans deserve that, and our freedoms can afford no less.
Senate District 22 includes west Edmond and Deer Creek schools area, Piedmont, Surrey Hills, and parts of Putnam City schools.
For too long, Oklahoma has ranked near the bottom in education, health, and economic opportunity. Kenny believes freedom means opportunity, and that starts with strong schools, affordable healthcare, and wages that keep up with the cost of living. He will fight for investments that lift Oklahoma families up and put us in the top 10, not stuck at the bottom.
Oklahoma should lead the nation in education, not trail behind it. Our kids deserve classrooms that prepare them for the future, and our teachers deserve fair pay so we can recruit and retain our best. Kenny will work to restore trust in our public systems and keep our State Department of Education accountable to parents and communities,
One in five Oklahomans struggles with mental health, yet resources are underfunded and understaffed. Kenny will fight for expanded funding, rural access, and stronger partnerships between schools, healthcare providers, and community programs. Treating mental health like physical health saves lives, reduces crime, and strengthens families.
Oklahoma families are working harder but falling further behind. We need a senator who cares about constituents more than corporations. Kenny supports raising wages so full-time work means financial security, not poverty. He will demand budget transparency, stop wasteful spending, and hold insurance and utility companies accountable for rising costs that are squeezing families.
Kenny believes women, not government, should make their own healthcare decisions. Politicians have no business inserting themselves into the most personal medical choices families face. As Senator, he will fight to restore women’s rights, protect doctors from prosecution, and ensure Oklahoma families have access to safe, trusted healthcare.
